I am delighted to reintroduce AJ, a skilled Associate Photographer at Matt Montalvo Photography. AJ and Matt’s own professional photography careers began back in 2007, but their bond goes back even further—they’ve been best friends since middle school. After a long and successful career as a wedding photographer, AJ left the industry to ventured into commercial real estate in 2021, but his passion for wedding photography never waned. AJ brings his extensive experience and deep love for capturing beautiful moments to every wedding. His unique blend of expertise, creativity, and heartfelt enthusiasm enhances our team, ensuring that each wedding is photographed with a personal touch and artistic flair.

So how does hiring an associate photographer work?
When you hire an associate photographer, you can still expect the award-winning service that Matt Montalvo is renowned for. Matt will continue to oversee all aspects of your experience, including email correspondence, timeline planning, portrait sessions, album designs, photo editing, and any other details that arise. Rest assured, the same level of dedication and expertise that defines Matt Montalvo Photography will be present throughout your entire journey.
AJ will be with you on the wedding day documenting your story with his passion and creativity. After he is done, the files are transferred to Matt so he can put his unique touch on the photos.
AJ is always available to chat with but you, but plan on chatting with AJ and Matt the week of the wedding to go over any questions or concerns.
